Voting Time is Here...Part 2

So last time the Kindergartners met Duck, this time they were introduced to Squid!

This guy is from President Squid by Aaron Reynolds and he is a hoot. He also wants to be President. He even lists all the great qualities that will make him an awesome President.

It's getting tough, the Kinder friends will have to vote next week for who they feel will make the better President.

Tune it to find out who wins.

Voting Time is Here....

Last week we started our Presidential campaign or at least our candidates did.  The Kindergartner met Duck from Duck for President by Doreen Cronin. We discussed why we might like to vote for him for president. We even reviewed the concept of voting.

This week, we'll meet our next candidate....

Rhyming with Kindergarten

Last week, we read There's a Bear on My Chair by Collin Ross. We talked about how much more fun it is to read books with rhyming words. We also reviewed what makes words rhyme. From the title, you may have guessed the book is about a mouse, a bear and only 1 chair. This is defintely a fun book to read with as much emotion as possible.

Afterwards, we brainstormed different and creative ways to get rid of a mouse in your house. Now if you're wondering how we jumped from a bear on  a chair to a mouse in a house, well, you'll have to read the book.
